DollarMoon or the Dollar General?

Is DollarMoon ($DMOON) going to reach escape velocity or is it better left on the shelf of the Dollar General Store? I don’t know but let’s find out.

Back in 2020, I decided to load up on crypto. I told Amanda, this girl I was dating, about $BTC, $ETH, and $ADA. I said they would do well in the next 18-24 months. To her credit, she listened. She believed everything word of my plan to get rich. She got excited and I thought she went home to create a Coinbase account. Come to find out, this other guy she was dating was also into crypto. He told her all about SafeMoon and how it was a sure thing. Obviously, she picked the other guy and she bet on SafeMoon. She lost everything when the project’s leadership got indicted. I lost all my gains trading perpetuals. We both ended up in the same place: broke and working two jobs to pay our bills.

Even though we had the same result, I naturally have an air of superiority with my prediction that any project that not only tells people it’s a Ponzi scheme but celebrates it, probably isn’t a good place to park your cash. So when I looked into DollarMoon ($DMOON), and noticed their slogan, “The safe way to THE MOON,” I became pretty skeptical.

Maybe I could have another go with Amanda if I text her about this new orbital-themed project. But the question I have to answer two questions first. Is this coin different from the biggest hunk of shit to come out of the last cycle? Could this abysmal chart turn around and reach the project’s target?

Here are all the steps to a—and I shit you not— a $1,000 price target:

  • Website & Social Media
  • Build a Commuinity
  • Marketing
  • Burn Event
  • New Markeing
  • Coin Market Cap Listing
  • $DMOON DEX Platform Launch
  • Burn Event
  • Web3 Gaming Platform
  • Burn Event
  • $DMOON Exchange Platform
  • Coming Soon
  • Coming Soon

I am wooed by the promise of future attractions as much as the next guy, but seeing so many “coming soons” on this roadmap has me nervous. To find out more I did a deep dive into DollarMoon’s X account. Their activity is sporadic, but maybe that’s only because they’re too busy planning to take over the world! Do I think this coin will reach $1,000 plus? No. Do I think it will reach one dollar? Also, no. Still, there does appear to be an uptick in KOL attention which has led to a bump in price. If you’re going to take your shot on this SpaceX-less ride to the lunar surface I would try and figure out if their marketing push is going to continue or if you’re exit liquidity. The top thirty wallets (which is where I stopped checking so there could be a lot more) hold 40% of the supply, nearly all of whom never transacted to acquired holdings. My guess is the astronaut behind $DMOON spread out the supply he bought to 30+ wallets. Damn, that’s a lot of key phrases to keep track of.
